When a dispute over a will, trust or estate puts family relationships and assets at risk, individuals, families and fiduciaries can count on Jessica – a seasoned trial lawyer who pairs courtroom skill with a practical, steady approach to emotionally charged conflicts.
As a member of Mirick’s Probate, Trust and Fiduciary Litigation Team, Jessica represents beneficiaries, personal representatives, trustees and other fiduciaries in contested probate, trust and fiduciary matters. She partners closely with clients to understand both the legal issues and the family dynamics behind a dispute, helping them resolve matters where possible and, when a case must be litigated, pursuing a focused and cost-conscious strategy. She also draws on her broad civil defense background, which includes personal injury, premises liability, employment, professional liability, construction, commercial and copyright matters.
Jessica has spent more than 14 years in the courtroom. Before entering private practice, she served for 12 years as a Trial Attorney with the Public Defender Division of the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Boston, where she tried 13 jury trials to verdict and represented clients at every stage, from arraignment through trial. Most recently, she was an Associate at Litchfield Cavo LLP.
Clients benefit from Jessica’s rare depth of jury trial experience. She knows how a case is likely to play out in court, which allows her to assess risk early, give clients candid advice, and negotiate from a position of strength – qualities that matter when family members, fiduciaries, and significant assets are involved.
