Why did you become a lawyer?

I became a paralegal because of my interest in the law and as an experiment of sorts to determine whether I wanted to become a lawyer. I later discerned attending law school or “something else” and chose to pursue a graduate education in pastoral ministry, theology, and spiritual direction instead of law school. I have been able to nurture both callings – ministry and the law – both of which involve principle centered and thoughtful service to others.

What is your practice philosophy?

I have a steadfast work ethic, which manifests in a collaborative, team approach mode of practice, requiring my communication with others, flexibility, a focus on creating and nurturing interpersonal relationships; and an openness to others’ viewpoints to find the best strategy to successfully defend our clients.

What is your client service approach?

I endeavor to provide skilled, conscientious, principled and personable legal service in a timely and thoughtful manner that goes “above and beyond” expectations, in order to help another reach a successful outcome.

“I want to recognize and express my deepest gratitude to all who helped me get through a really tough time with the recent malpractice lawsuit that I was involved with…I especially want to recognize my legal team, Joan Vorster and her paralegal assistant Lori Pandiscio. Their efforts and preparation were the key to the eventual good outcome of this trial. They were outstanding. Could not have had a better team. I would go to war with them!”
