Nancy’s background as Assistant Vice President and Senior Counsel at Unum US, the largest provider of group and individual disability insurance in the U.S., translates to her practice at Mirick. Clients appreciate her intimate perspective and insurance industry insights and litigation experience. She defends clients in life, health and disability claims and litigation brought under state law and ERISA and in medical malpractice claims and litigation against physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers. She also represents physicians and other professionals before their professional licensing boards.
As an experienced litigator, Nancy has expanded her practice to assist clients with probate litigation, estate administration and estate planning. She is an advisor to fiduciaries, trustees, and family members in the administration and settlement and estates.
