Margaret counsels clients on all types of business transactions, with focus on commercial lending and mergers and acquisitions. She has experience with general corporate governance, debt and equity finance, corporate M&A, as well as contract drafting, negotiation, and interpretation. She has counseled both lenders and borrowers on the financing, construction, and delivery of greenfield and brownfield projects across the energy and infrastructure sectors throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
Prior to joining Mirick, Margaret was an Associate Legal Counsel at CityFibre in London, and previously worked as an associate in Allen & Overy LLP’s London office.

- Advising the sponsors in connection with the development and financing of a hydroelectric project in Cameroon including associated transmission and interconnection infrastructure for the evacuation of power into Nigeria
- Advising Blackstone on regulatory issues relating to its acquisition of a majority stake in Luminor
- Advising the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority on their investment in funds, placing of their money with investment managers and development of policy papers
- Advising the General Organization for Social Insurance, a Saudi Arabian government agency concerned with social insurance for the country, on their investment management arrangements with its fund managers
- Advising major financial institutions including the Bank of New York Mellon, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and NatWest Bank on their Brexit contingency planning
- Advising HSBC on its application to join the FCA’s and PRA’s ringfencing scheme including regulatory applications and prudential regulatory capital advice relating to the separation of its retail business from its investment business
